Simple trip to NYC....
I'm trying to get a couple rooms there for the weekend of my 24th birthday. I originally intended to get some rooms right in Times Square but I hear thats not where all the bars are.
So the question I impart to you all is this, which general area should I try to stay in (please include street names and such) so that I'm right there where all the action is? I'm looking at nice bars and nightclubs.

Good luck finding a decent hotel @ a decent price anywhere in the city (if you're going in the near future). I'm in NYC each week & in order to get a decent hotel that wasnt 500 per night, I have to stay in Jersey.

hilton on avenue of the americas is great ..
1335 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY 10019 212.586.7000 if your driving they have theyre own parking garage as well . and you cant find a central hotel thats close to everything .. because everything is spread out . youl definetly need to walk or take cabs from place to place .. try cheaptickets.com or contact them directly ..
