6mt tranny problem going into gear when cold

I have a problem with the transmission going into second gear when I start off in the morning. The outside temperature is around 35F - 45F. The gears don't grind when it goes in gear but I need to force it in until it warms up. It recently started doing this, and I have owned the vehicle for about 6 months. The car is an 05 sedan with about 47,000 miles, and I changed the tranny oil with Royal Purple 75w90 gear oil at about 30,000 miles. Also, second gear makes a 'clunk' noise and is rougher than the other gears.

I took the vehicle to the stealership, and they denied anything was wrong with the transmission. The service rep changed gears by rev matching and didn't use the clutch. He told me the synchros are fine and that the problem maybe with the clutch or pressure plate.

Does this make sense? If there was a problem with the clutch or the pressure plate, wouldn't the problem exist throughout every gear instead of just one particular gear. The service rep was very unhelpful and acted like he knew everything about my car. They even refused to offer me a rental car when they were going to keep my car overnight to check other problems I had with my car. Is this how you guys get treated when you go to the stealership? I was pretty pissed off today and got in an arguement with one of them.

The funny thing is there was another guy who was getting warranty work done on his car, and he was offered a rental car when I was told they didn't have any left. I guess they treat each customer differently.

06 6mt here. Since new N-1-2nd and very difficult when cold.
Switched to Amsoil 75w-90 at 15K and much better and still is at ~32K.

See you're running RP 75w-90. Do hope it's a GL-4 oil and not a GL-5 in there.
If GL-5, that's your problem. GL-5 will slowly trash your synchros.
