Does TSB on oil consumption cover older G35's?

I noticed that the latest TSB that is posted on oil consumption specifically mentioned some of the more recent model years. I have an '03 G35 6MT that I am pretty sure has a similar issue. I have "seen the light"... the low oil pressure light that is not that long after a dealership oil change. Is there an older TSB that covers the older G's? Or does the recent TSB cover them as well?

Thanks. BTW, I just started the oil consumption test last week.

I'm still covered...

under the warranty as I was able to transfer the extended warranty from the previous owner. So, I'm good 'til 2010 and I haven't reached the mileage limit yet. Anyway, I'm getting the test done now in case, they will put a new engine in for me.

The way the TSB reads is confusing. It says the model year from '05-'07 and then it says G35 built before a certain year. I guess they are just trying to cover all the cars. So, in that case, it should be o.k.

TSB is for only 2005-2007 6mts (aka...rev-up VQ's) built before a certain date not year.

Anyway...as asked in a previous post about an older TSB prior to 2005-2007's...no there wasn't.

On the bright side, heard of owners with non-rev up VQ's get theirs replaced due to OC. Not sure what there OC was, but know prior to this TSB for all VQ35DE's, all years, all trannys, the standard warranty replacement for OC had to be 1qt/1000mi or worse to qualify.

Thanks, that's very helpful...

thanks. The dealership is running the OC test. Based on my observation of oil usage, it's about 1 qt/1,000 mi. We'll see what comes out of that!

Yeah...good luck in testing...you too hondapower.

One of the non-revup owners that got his replaced gave me the pt# for the non revup when I asked. It's different # than the revup's. May be useful or not to you both, but here it is anyway: 10102-AM8M1 I haven't personally confirmed that number, but I'm sure it's good. Revup # on TSB is: 10102-AC7M9
