Why is my 2007 G35-C Auto only 275HP WTF
Hey guys,
Why did HP drop from 05-06 to 2007 now only 275Hp for G35_C Auto. I want to get WHP to about 270HP I have about $4,500 for mods to start with for Eng. Anyone have that much WHP with just bolt on ? |

Right I don't have rev up thank God for that no Oil issues. But the 2006 G35 DE was at 290 HP and 298 for MT I think.
I just starting on my G build, I have 08 350z NISMO that user for fun, so now it's time to start on my G. I was looking at NISMO cams and headers to start with. |

It is rated at 275 HP based on the new SAE standards. Revups, under the new SAE, are at 293.

Some people are pushing 280-290 whp with bolt ons...
intake, plenum spacer, cams, headers, test pipes, cat-back exhaust and tune. depending on what you go with would get you close/at/above your goal. Torque converter, FD gears and valve body might be worth looking into after that. You could buy a vortech SC kit for less than $4500. OCG35 has around 290 i believe...with his 5AT.

You also have to consider the dyno. A Dynapack will show 15 to 20whp then what you'll see on Dynojet. Every dyno will read differently, therefore nutswining from the numbers is meaningless. A dyno is a tuning tool, that's it. The key is to dyno on the same machine, everytime.

That only depends on how the Dynopack is set up. It can range depending on the settings.
Dyno's started out as a tape measure. They have evolved into a tuning tool.

When you go to bank to renegoiate your [$2,000/mo] dyno loan, the loan officer suggest you change the calibration to increase HP/torque to bring in more business. EVEN He knows the more you fudge, the more repeats you get from word of mouth.

^^^ what does the loan officer say when the dyno is used for tunes or back to back mod install comparisons?
I sit there and watch and there are no magic tricks or secret switches being used to show gains. Does the loan officer suggest the dyno operator/tuner is in cahoots with the tuning software developer and mod manufacturer to dupe the consumer into thinking the gains are legit? Boy that’s some elaborate scam system… seems cheaper and more efficient just to do what a good dyno/tune shop does = tunes and dyno’s cars (without hocus pocus).
