Exclamation OKC---OKZCC/Bob Moore Nissan Car Show, June 7th!

Since we do not have a judging class in place for G35 coupes, I kind of went back and forth on whether I should post this up here on G35driver.com, but I decided to go ahead and do so because I feel the only way to incorporate G's into the club so that it is as much a club for G35's as 350Z's is to get the word out as often as possible that the Z club is now open for G membership. The only reason we don't have a judging class for G35 coupes is because we simply do not have someone to head it up. So here it is G guys and gals, we are a nationally affiliated club, and we are officially looking for a few good G's and their owners to help us Z'ers get things rolling for G's in Oklahoma! I really think with a few fine examples of G's in the club, that many more will follow since they don't have to be "first".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This spring's car show is going to be held at Bob Moore Nissan, just north of Norman on June 7th, the 1st saturday in June. We tried to coincide it with the arrival of their first GTR, but unfortunately the car isn't due until quite a bit later and the show needs to happen before the weather gets scorching hot.

Here's the schedule for the show:

9am---arrival/setup of cars
11am---registration
12pm---lunch
1pm---judging begins

Classes:

240Z / 260Z......First and Second place

280Z......First and Second place

280ZX......First and Second place

300ZX (Z31)......First and Second place

300ZX (Z32)......First and Second place

350Z......First and Second place

Best of Show

**I would like to point out that we do not have provisions for a G-class, despite recently becoming a G-inclusive club. Should any G owner feel up to the task to head up instituting/implementing the judging criteria for G's please contact your nearest club official. As of today, we do not have a person with the G-knowledge to create a proper judging sheet for the class. The sooner we get one drawn up, the sooner we can get a G class implemented into future shows. It's a relatively easy task but you gotta know your way around the car to do it!

Directions:

From Tulsa: I-44 to OKC, take I-35 South through OKC to Norman. Exit at the Tecumseh Road exit, take the North bound service road to Bob Moore Nissan. This is a new location and is very visible from I-35 (on the West side of I-35).

From OKC: South on I-35 to Tecumseh Road, North on the service road, (West side of I-35).

Easy-to-find location, can't miss it. BIG dealership right in plain sight of I-35.

Look forward to seeing a bigger and better show than the great show we had last year!

Few pics from last year's excellent show....

I should have my new engine in by then and I'll need to put some miles on it to break it in....I'll more than likely be there.

Don't be intimidated, my engine is filthy, I'll go regardless because cleaning up the exterior/interior is easy. These shows are by no means hardcore, although we do get a few cars that can hold their own in a hardcore show, but really it is just an excuse to get together and have an event. These car shows are relaxed enough to just be fun and good for pics, plus you can chow down and meet/hang out with other enthusiasts.

I would say over 50% of the people who leave one of our shows with a trophy, did not expect to place well enough to win one. If we have a good enough G turnout at this one, I personally will make the push to have a G class in place for the big car show in Tulsa this summer at the Midwest Z Fest

Guys/gals, as of today we are less than five G's away from having enough in the club to make instituting a G-class a worthwhile effort. Big thumbs up to our recent Infiniti newcomers! I hope we can convince a few more of you to just come out and help give the club a greater Infiniti G presence!
