Does AUX in non-nav play video on LCD?
Well I have been doing some research on my previous post regarding installing the pioneer f90 in my non-nav and it seems it can be done, I'm waiting on a few calls confirming this, but there are kits to complete this mod. Meanwhile, I went to best buy and purchased auxillary cables for my ipod. I tried playing a video hoping the video would play on my lcd, which seemed plausible since there is a video in jack, but I only got sound. Does it play video from a dvd player or does the LCD not play anything at all. I get the "video will resume when car is stopped message" but the screen just says AUX.
I hope this doesn't sound dumb, just trying to learn more about the car, get some tips. Thanks again for your help gents.

i have a panasonic portable dvd player and it plays on the dash lcd screen with sounds just fine. i just plugged the appropriate AUX cable inside the center console compartment. the only problem is it will shut down once the parking brake is disengaged...haven't gotten around to doing the video by pass yet. good luck.

Yep. Car has to be in park with the parking brake engadged.
