Ipod integration (non-nav) and iPhone 3.0.1

This is a question for those who have installed Nissan iPod integration in their non-nav Gs - is your iPhone mp3 player being recognized?
Someone told me about a recognition problem described in the thread below:

http://iphone-chat.org/since-30-upda...terface-60458/

I am thinking of installing the ipod integration to use with my jailbroken 2G iPhone which was recently upgraded to 3.0.1 firmware but am wary of non-recognition problem described in the above thread. Can someone confirm that their iPhone works after the firmware update?

Update from the same thread:

If you set the stereo to iPod, then turn on the iPod (unconnected) find a play list, hit play, then plug it into the car, it seems to work. So far I'm 3/3 doing it this way. And I seem to be able to change songs and playlists from the control. br /br /So apparently something has to be playing for the stereo to recognize it.
