2007 G35S, few questions
Car came without nav or backup camera, so I have a few questions.
#1) Can I install the factory nav system? if so , what's involved? (i've read a few posts that say it's not easy or cheap)
But I did see someone install something similar, it doesn't have to be the same as the factory one, but a nav upgrade that adds a touch screen in the same place, and keeps the other vehicle info etc
like this one
#2) if I cannot install the factory nav system, is it possible to install an aftermarket system?
#3) what is involved in adding a backup camera, I've read a few threads, but most seem outdated, is there anything newer to consider?
Thanks!

What i know is only from threads like these posted before; it is going to be a HUGE undertaking to install those upgrades for the normal user. All the wiring, etc. will take a lot of effort and patience to DIY, and is gonna be a lot of labor for a professional shop to do. Not to mention the cost of the products themselves.

Sorry I can't provide much in the way of help/detail, however I can give you some generic info:
No it is not worth it to install factory nav on your non-factory nav car. The factory nav (at least from model year 2007) is pretty archaic compared to today's smartphones.
Yes, there is aftermarket units that you can integrate. Not so sure you can use the touch screen and honestly its not really useful to use the touch screen even with the factory nav. But there is def ways to add GPS to your non-factory nav car. YOu might need to dig deep in the search.
Yes you can install an aftermarket backup camera and display it on the dashboard screen.
There is a chance that to do either/both of these mods you will need to install a speed sensor bypass switch (which is not allowed to talk about on this forum) so the screen will display AUX-in video while moving.
EDIT: here you go:
Can't find the rear camera install, but this might help
