Wheel/Tire Sizes 2007 G35X

I am in the market for new wheels and tires. The stock wheels are 17" with 225/50 R17. I would like to go 18" or 19" but am not sure on the wheel sizes and offsets. I am also worried about ride quality. How much does a low profile tire effect the ride?

The car is not lowered and I was wondering what it can put on it without rubbing.

Also would like to know what the weight and offset is on the stock wheels.

Any suggestions on wheel and tire sizes?

Thinking about going with a 19x8.5 +40mm wheels and 245/40/19 tires.

Does anyone know if I am going to have problems with rubbing?

The stock wheels size for an 07 G35x should be 225/55-17. Someone put the wrong size tire on there. To small. Your speedo would be off an extra 3.3% and thats not good considering many off the X's are already inaccurate with the correct size. Mines off 5-8% depending on my speed.
Like RBull says, you are going to be a long way from rubbing especially with our factory springs and wheel clearance. Your circumfrence is almost identical to factory specs.

Would 18 x 8 wheels with +30mm offset fit or look alright? I know the stock are around +45mm, so I don't what the +30mm would change...?

That's what I'm running... 245/40/19 with a +35mm offset. Even with the drop, there's plenty of room if you want to go a little more aggresive.

How much did it cost you for the tires and the lowering shock kit?
