Putting bigger tires on stock staggered rims
I put 235/45/48 on my front wheels where it called for 225/50/18. The backs are 245/45/18 which are the stock requirement. They fit fine and don't look too wide. What are the consequences of this set up. I am thinking of going 245/45/18 all around so I can rotate the tires. Will this cause problems?

You should be fine with 235s. I've been running 235/45/18 on the front for a while, and no adverse effects. 225 just looked too small up front. The 235 is only .3" taller and .4" wider, so it is not that much of a difference, though some people won't like it "raising" the front end by .15", since every one seems to want MOAR LO!
Not sure on running 245s, I'm sure some others will chime in.

Thanks everyone for the input. So all the rims are the same size? Why in the world did they come staggered then?

Well, to me the 225/50/18 did not look sporty at all because of the bigger sidewall. And they really bulged out, looked soft with some tires like Micheline pilot sport.

As for as running 245's all around, yes you can technically do it, but that 245 width on the 7.5" wheels in the front will be a rather pinched. If you're not looking for any serious performance, then it's a non-event, but if you want a crisp turn-in response from your "sport" sedan, you're better off either NOT running a wider tire on those narrower 7.5" front wheels, or getting a spare set of 8.5" rear sport wheels and running them on the front along with the wider 245's.

Nope, Gary is mistaken about that; the wheels are not all 8" wide. The staggered 18" sport setup runs 7.5" in the front and 8.5" in the back. You can run the 235/50-18 size in the front, but you loose a bit of tolerance in your traction control since the front to rear diameter is then 2.1% off, versus .7% normally. If you're going to run 235's in the front, a better combo is to put 255's on the back, then your FR-RR diameter difference is .8%, or virtually identical to stock. It is not imperative to match the stock setup, but it will avoid your traction control kicking in prematurely on an on-ramp.

And I can confirm, my 18s are the same front and back.
And further to note, my traction control would kick on more often on a particular bump on an off ramp with 225 F/ 245 R setup. With the 235 / 245 setup, it has not kicked on... well yet anyway, but definitely less prone to kicking on the traction control. Could just be the tires, regardless of size, but I like it better.

Okay may be I should have been specific about my car here. Since this is a sub forum for the 2007-08 Sedan, I assumed the topics here would be for those models.
