Help with tilted steering wheel with VDC, Slip and 4WAS lights
Hello Friends,
I hit a major pothole (unavoidable) last week and my steering wheel suddenly tilted a couple days ago, Prior to the tilt I had the dash lights pop up after driving only a few hundred feet. I put my car on the alignment rack today and my coworker showed me a lot of side to side play with the whole steering rack. There's no vibrations when driving but the tilt really aggravates me. The first photo is the car going straight. Second is a photo of the driver side. Third shows an arrow pointing to the pivot point. Instead of just rotating, the whole pivot assembly has some play. The steering wheel feels a lot softer now. Would I need to swap out the whole rack? Thanks for your time guys.

Check all of the following and report back:
- Steering linkage
- Tie rods
- Rack and pinion - loose? leaking?
The car is still driving straight without any vibration? Your friend at the shop only mentioned that you were out of alignment - nothing more than that? More info would be helpful in this circumstance.
