Question about front lip

Hi, I have a quick question about the oem sport front lip for the v36: Is the lip held on with screws or with tape? and is the install difficult or easy...meaning could I do it by myself? Thanks.

Both. And yes, you can do it yourself. Templates are includes usually to help you drill.

I don't have the OEM one, but I just installed the Ebay one myself today. This one specifically. It's pretty similar to OEM, albeit unpainted. It didn't come with any templates, but came with 6 screws and 2 Z brackets, and two metal bits which I didn't know how to use. I just lined it up before drilling and marked off where I would drill. It turned out nicely, no unreliable and messy 3M tape either.

Mine was a bit deformed from shipping, if yours is just take a hair dryer to it while trying to press it back into place. It worked for me after 2 mins of heating.

Installation is a bit tough alone but my advice is to get the front two screw holes done first - try to align the lip first and mark off where you're gonna drill, then jack up you car enough to drill the holes in the bumper. Then match the lip up to the other end of the Z bracket and screw it on (I used a nut and bolt actually, since it looked like the provided screws would slip out). This part is tough since you're gonna have to reach under and to the back of the lip and go by feel alone.

The 4 holes in the wheel wells are really simple, get someone to press the lip into place and drill the screws in. Or try and do it with one hand, I found it to be way harder. Then you're done.

Oh yeah, and you're gonna have to plastidip or paint this lip; it comes in an ugly plastic-black.
