Putting all other info aside, 245/35 and 275/35 is a popular combo to run.
This of course, if the rest of your car is set up for it ie; drop, suspension, camber, fenders....
Hey guys - was wondering if wheels with the dimensions of 245/40/18 (18x10.5) with 22 offset would fit on a completely stock 2004 g35x SEDAN. Thinking they would be too wide, but just wondering if this would work without having to roll fenders, etc. Stock tires are 215, would that be too much of a jump?

The front will be fine. You'll most likely have to roll the rear though. It'll fit for sure, but with stock ride height, I'm not 100% sure on the rubbing. Fender rolling isn't a big deal at all though. It's such an easy thing to do or have done.

What about stretching? Is stretching a 245 tire on a 10.5" wide rim acceptable? Again, just getting into the whole wheel game.
Lol. The current tires on the rims I'm looking at are 245s, on a 10.5" rim. I am personally against stretching...just wondering the relative stretch......again, just looking for feedback.
If you don't know why to stretch, or what's acceptable to stretch, then DON'T STRETCH!!!! As Jersey said...WHY!!!???
Your setup is nowhere near pushing tolerances nor are you trying to squeeze wheels on that are too wide. You're running a standard setup with a standard tire and a standard drop. There is absolutely nothing aggressive about it and stretching your tires would be nothing more than copying a trend that you clearly aren't familiar with. Stop following the gram and just fit your car

For the record, I'm not against stretch at all. I've stretched tires before. But I was running 12inch wide wheels with negative offsets riding less than 2inches off the ground. If you're not doing that or similar, then just get the CORRECT size and stop being scene kids.
I'm sure these questions have been answered in here, but 400 is a lot of pages to read lol, but I just got a 2003 G35 Sedan in Emerald Mist Green a somewhat of a rare color I think. Anyways I was just wondering what you guys suggest for my wheel setup. Right now I just have the stock 6 spoke 17x7 I think they are with 225 55 r17s. I plan to either buy new summer wheels now that way I can use my stock wheels for winter wheels or buy another set of stock wheels. I also plan to get coilovers in the spring so I am wondering if I would have rubbing issues or anything like that. I talked to a couple people and they recommended to wait until after I get coilovers to get new wheels so they would fit better, but I just need some wheels to put my 225 50 17s winter tires on. Would that be a good way to do it buy coilovers then wheels, also 17s or 18s and how low would I be able to go I kind of want them to tuck a little, but not too much so maybe 8.5 or 9 or so for the width? Also where would I be able to find stock wheels with or without tires sort of cheap or could I get them on here somehow? Best place I've found was on my local craigslist for $350 and they are cleaner than my wheels, but I kind of want to spend a little less if possible. Sorry for all the questions just figured to put them all out there so I know to plan ahead.
Ok so its been a few months since my last post asking for assitance on offset and tire sizes... So i did go with the 20"x9.5" +19 offset front, 20"x10.5" +17 offset rear.
Tires front 245/35/20 & 275/35/20 rear. Shane was able to shine some insight on making my final decision.
Very happy with the look of the wheels eapecially after waiting for about 4 months. Now awating for my fender roller to arrive as back needs to be rolled badly.
Will post better pictures once i get everything finalized.
Can anyone here help me with a V36 sedan? I've got wheels from my old car that I want to try to fit, but I know it's going to be hard. The wheels are 19x9.5 +22 square wrapped in 255/35 tires. I'm willing to roll my fenders and run up to 2.5 degrees of camber, but I don't want to pull fenders or stretch tires. Is this workable?
