i have recently bought project d for my g35 coupe ... after reading here on vdc issue i want you people to tell me what size tires should i go

wheel specs

front
18x9 +32 offset
rear
18x10 + 36 offset

i am kind of noob to understand the 3% tyre combo...

 

Do the research before you buy things... especially something as expensive as wheels....

If you did, you'd realize that offsets above +22's are considered super weak!
Stock wheels are +30.... lol

But I would go 35/245 and 35/275.
Just me though.

 

with how week the offsets are you might as well go with a thicker sidewall

I would suggest a 235/40 265/40 combo, the combo suggested above would work too though

 

You'd also probably want 15-20 mm spacers all around.

 

above 22 when stockers 30mm getting confused plz school me on this wheels are project d1r .. is positive offsets bad will it touch inside shock or outside car fender ?? dunno nothing bout offsets

some one was given me a very low mileage 235 front and 285 rear with them so i just thought first ask you ppl



i thought using spacer can cause more problems

i just dont wanna disturb the vdc

 

With the same sized sidewall, the difference in tire width between the front and rear tires should not be more than 30mm. Using the tire calculator either at the top of the page or in the stickies the overall diameter of the front and rear tires can not have more than a 3% difference. A 235/40 & 285/40 combo won't work.

 

Have you test fitted these wheels on your car? The offsets are so bad I'm not sure they won't hit the strut with the inside rim.

 

both front and rear fitted fine i checked the inner side but it was clear

so what tire you choose ppl

 

just tried playing with tyre calculator it says
fronts
225/45/18 stock
235/45/18 1.36% too fast and green light
235/40/18 -2.20% too slow and green light
rears
265/40/18 -1.25% too slow and green light
265/45/18 2.66% too fast and green light
275/40/18 -0.07% too slow and green light
275/45/18 3.98% too fast and red light

still confused these are the correct sizes and that percent in these please help me choose correct front and rear combo ...

What look are you going for? Stetched, flush, fat?

I'd probably run 245/40 and 275/40

 

I just assumed that you would buy wheels to make your car look better, not to go even more hella sunk that's all.

Its been shown that as long as you buy quality spacers, you shouldn't run into any problems. People in the G/Z community have drifted and tracked with spacers without issues so unless your doing something even more ridiculous, you should be fine.

 

TBH you should also include information like what you intend to do with the set up.
Like how much are you planning on lowering it, are you tracking, what brakes you have.
Is it a coupe or sedan? Going for a flush look? lowered?

But based on the information I have now and assuming it's a coupe, this is my recommendation:

Get spacers (10 to be on the safer side, 20 to be more aggressive)
Lower the car about an inch
Run 18/35/245 (front) 18/35/275 (rear)


For spacers, run 5 mm more in rear.
So if you wanna do 10mm then go 10mm front and 15mm in the rear.

Reason being that your rear offset is weaker than the fronts and you want the rears to be a lot more aggressive anyways.

i have never done flushed or fat just for replacements and good look

i use my car for weekend drives, drag and drift.. not autox
il be sticking to stock suspension will look for coilovers later on (maybe).. brakes are non brembo stock
its a coupe .. my main reason is car should be grippy and spacers on off set calculator i checked is 11mm fronts and 19mm rears

 

Didn't know they made 11mm spacers...

Go with what I told you.
15/20 for looks and 10/15mm to be safe.

You drift a G coupe on stock suspension eh...? lol
