New Interior Lights: not really a DIY but some pictures
There have been a lot of requests for a DIY on changing the color of the headunit lights. It would be an understatement to say that doing this is difficult. I have decided to change my color scheme from blue and white to red and white. Here are some pictures of the process.

This is a shot of what I currently have. I am in the process of converting the bose display and ac display to red. My goal is to change the blue accent lights to red.

Here are some pictures of my car after the headunit was removed. As you can see there are a lot of plugs… I removed my glove box because I wanted to reorganize my edfc lines.

A shot of my messy work bench.

Here is the PC board behind the headunit. The top piece is the navigation board.

PC board lit.

A closeup shot of the SMDs. Theyre REALLY tiny and take a lot of precision and patience to solder on.
I will update more as this goes on. G35lin and Rever are helping me out with this.

What sizes are the SM LED's? It looks like most of the buttons are 1208's and the status lights are 0805's? Also, how many LED's are needed total for the radio/AC section?
OK, thanks! PM sent, and now I just need to complete my LED clear corner mod, then on to this one. Time to brush up on the SMD solder skills....

LED's are here.... sadly the clear corners are not
Luckily, I can still wire up the circuit and test it. Then again, that should take all of an hour and I won't be back home till after new years... So that's one more xmas present to myself I guess. Pictures will be coming once it is up and running. Depending on demand, I might do a DIY for the LED clear corners plus having blinkers. Yes, it would only be slightly different than the one already posted...
