Service Bulletin related to voice tags & voice recognition - ITB07-015
I do not have access to actual bulletin but saw this bulletin synopis on tech info site.
It is titled:
"SB 07 G35; Voice Recognition Issues (Navigation Vehicles Only)"
"ITB07015
IF YOU CONFIRM Voice tags are not recognized or have been deleted. OR Voice recognition will not recognize 7 digit phone numbers. OR Voice recognition is not accurate. ACTION Load and install the software update CD. See Figure 1. Refer to theService Procedure in this bulletin for installing the new software. See this bulletin for further detail"
It appears there is a software update to address this issue.

that is stupid, i absolutely cannot use the voice recognition in mine. but its a non navigation vehicle. I assumed it might be my southern draw, but if it is a widely recognized problem, i need a non nav update.

I just got this done along with the cruise control surge and the key recall.
I must admit that I am not a voice control power user so I'm not sure if I have lost functionallity. But I did have a problem were the last digit of a phone number is ALWAY WRONG when I said "Dail 888-2222". Now it works perfectly.
As for the cruise control surge, I had this done because others here on the forum stated that it changed the throttle tip it. I was not a fan of the current setting. I like the new programming better.
Overall a happy camper.

I took mine in to have this done as well, but my dealer said that it couldn't do anything for me because it couldn't CONFIRM the issue, i.e., reproduce the issue. My tags take a couple of weeks to drop (so I couldn't get it to happen AT the dealership), but they most certainly do. I guess our word just isn't good enough anymore.
