I was surprised at how good of shots i got without using a tripod, i figured i'd have to bust it out for sure, but 80% of my pics came out just fine without it

Yeah, there is enough light at that spot for most pics to come out ok handheld. Lugging around the tripod is hassle.

Nice shots Grant. Did you do some post processing on your pics? What lens were you shooting with? You were leaving as I arrived so I didn't get to say what's up. See you at the next one.
