Not sure if it will effect Infiniti owners but I am sure RHD cars (mainly GTRs) will be to blame for acts like this somehow.

Unfortunately it reflects negatively on all car enthusiasts and definitely hurts the brand image of Nissan/Infiniti more.

It sure does, all of this stuff ruins it for everyone else.

It really pi$$e$ me off to hear or see this happening. If only these douchebags would realize that besides endangering safety of others it also has a detrimental impact on the future of performance cars and enthusiusts.

I disagree completely when people say that Infiniti is effected by these few Nissan enthuisasts.

In my area, the inifniti's are not decked out, and for the most part are as close to stock as one gets (aside from tint and rims). Not to mention, for the most part people who by their infiniti's, buy them new (re: older and more 'established') - I dont have stats anywhere but I heard Oakville infiniti has some of the highest new sales around.

I think some of you are blowing this out of proportion.

Sad but true....
& is part of the reason why I'll not be attending any parking lot meets.

I think it can be expected that cruises will get more attention too.
All you need is one or two silly buggers.

so true...there is a BMW Wasaga cruise coming up in May and they're meeting in Vaughan and driving up the 400. IF I go, I'll take a different route and meet them up there.

I think we can still have meets, as long as we keep them small and organize it at a local "watering hole" parking lot.

the problem with being smart about doing stupid things is that it requires being smart.

i would suggest a farm, with a big mown field, barbeque, few folks to bother ya, roads largely empty, and few cops.

besides, the roads are so much more fun.

if you're going to act stupid, do it in such a way that you won't be hurting anyone else.

I have mixed feelings on this. First and foremost if they were actually driving like fools then I hope they get the book thrown at them. That said, I've seen more than one instance of police being "over-zealous" when it comes to dealing with these new laws. In any event, this is why most of us don't bother with these kinds of meets anymore.

In Winnipeg; GTRs has always seem to be a police magnet. I don't think the new GTR will have much difficulty entering Canada as the steering wheel is on the right (as in left side; haha) side... Suprisingly; many cops will pull you over just for that.

Way I see it; is how many wreckless Honda Civic drivers do we see on a daily basis? It has somewhat tarnished the public's respect for Civic drivers but will that make a TL Type-S fall into the same boat? From my point of view a TL Type-S is still a superb performance vehicle that people will have difficultes seeing how it is related to a Civic and I don't think TLs draw much police attention at all.

Half the people I talk to assume I own some sort of German/American vehicle and only a few people actually know what an Infiniti is or as they like to spell it; Infinity. Funny because I was speaking to one of my close friends about the crappy resale of the G35 and he told me I should've bought a Japanese vehicle if I was concerned about resale .

I do think you guys in Ontario will be under closer scrutiny in light of these events; but I don't imagine it applying to strictly Nissans but rather any vehicle enthusiast. Just takes a couple idiots to ruin it for everybody.
