My friend Jeff does headlight mod work. He put Q45 projectors in his Lexus GS lamps.

Thought about painting the housing too, but never seen it done on a CB, not sure how that would look.

I can check w/ him to see if he can do LEDs...shouldn't be a problem since he's an electrical engineer.

it was too much hassle when trying to find someone that would work on the projectors for me. i think sewell is having a sale for only this month on them for 550 w/bulbs and 450 w/o bulbs. but most likely you'll have to pay taxes so not sure if it will be more than riverside (forgot how much i paid through riverside).

If I want to just plug and play, I assume I need the bulbs, but can I use the 6000k bulbs I have in my headlights now in the '06 projectors? Or are they different?

03-05 are D2R bulbs and 06-07 are D2S bulbs. There are not to many people who dor work in the DAllas area on our lights...I wouldnt know about going to someone who doesnt strictly work with our headlights since its a very tedious job..which explains why I bought clearcorners.com headlights.

hey guys... I'm new to the forum but have been doing alot of research trying to find these low profile LED rings that surround the projectors...I really like this aesthetic look and would really appreciate it if someone could tell me where I could find these items...thanks guys.

Assuming you don't have projectors now, the bulbs are different... You're currently using S2R while the projectors will need a D2S. While they both look very similar, the bases are a little different. Enough so that you would want new bulbs.

Clearcorners.com is bank... a little too much IMO... if you don't mind shipping hte headlights out to get done up, look up IvoryGT. He did mine and countless others, and it's quality work that came out looking very nice.

TXaaron3232 should have D2C bulbs in his car (which is what I sold him), so they will work in 06 projectors.

the halo rings are really hard to come by...alot of the individuals who do this work have them created for them since they are basically fitted to the projectors.

Thanks g35man04 for the advise...well I took a real good look at the projector setup on clearcorner.com and saw the fitting. Does anyone know of a DIY availible to help explain the process...I really don't like the halo look, I'll leave that aesthetic for BMW's...but I think these ultra low profile LED rings (the ring of dots) are sweet...btw sorry if the question wasn't clear...I know how to install the Halos found on AAC.com...I was inquiring about the led ring (dotted led ring) around the inside of the projector dome....Thanks alot guys.
