Lambo Doors

What do you guys think about this? Im considering it for my car. I showed a buddy a pic of the Lambo at the show last weekend and he said I should put a lambo kit on my car. At first I thought it wasn't a great idea, but the more I look at it the more I like it.

Pretty homo-rific

I hate all these kids trading in their Civics for a G35. This thread just goes to prove the decline of the G35.

I thought about the idea just for a second, I tend to bang my doors in tight spots. I don't care for my hinges on my coupe. The middle part doesn't hold the door open very well in the wind.

Ya know, if all the ricers had not done that mod over and over and over and we wouldn't be lumped in with the ricers then I would say i still like the looks of it on certain cars. BUT I don't want to be lumped in with Ricers.

Now Gullwings doors are unique

Here ya go, be a little more original

But to do it right, you would have to cut the roof line and weld it to the top of the door and then put subframe connectors like this guy

I wish the dumb ricers would learn that the doors go OUT then up. You still cannot get into any tighter spots.

Actually, the doors go out a bout 8 inches and then go up, try getting out of your car with the standard hinge that way, considering the doors are about 5 inches thick. I'm not supporting him. but this one crazy guy here in town has an eclipse with lambos, and he can park about a foot from a wall and still get out fairly easily.

I thought about it, and think that it doesn't look too bad on frameless doors, but considering how the G35Driver community is, ur either gonna get or people are gonna think it looks aight. If you like it, go for it, just please make sure u get a quality kit and make sure it is installed right....I hear the weld on kits last longer and perform better than the bolt on, fyi. And you better be getting some new wheels first...HAHA!

Thanks for all the input. Some of it made for a good laugh! Didn't realize it was such a big deal lol. Love the poster Toxic. Guess I am out of the loop...don't see very many lambo doors in amish country. Definitely going to get new wheels in the spring. Still undecided on the lambo but I have never been big on the gullwing look. Oh and I have never technically owned a civic (ex wife did but I never claimed it was mine lol).
