made me a sub box, 2 JL 10W1v2's and RF 325.1 Amp
Whew, I just made my first sub box! I made, installed and wired up everything this weekend. I was first going to use a ZEnclosure box, but I wanted more airspace, so I figured I would just make my own and followed some how-to's on various sites. I used 3/4" MDF, carpenter's glue, silicone sealer, carpet from Lowes, about 90 some screws (just to make sure) :) and some poly-fil. By my calculation the box has a total of around 1.40 cu ft net internal volume. I talked with a few people about what I was wanting as far as sound, nothing too crazy and decided on 2 JL 10W1v2 4 ohm woofers, a Rockford 325.1 amp with a rated 395w x 1 RMS @ 2 Ohms(by the certificate) and used a PAC LOC and tapped into the 6x9 speaker wires after the factory amp as some suggested in other threads to avoid engine whine. I followed the wiring as listed in some other thread here and everything works perfect. I am very happy with the results, and just want to thank everyone who filled this site with all the knowledge I needed to complete the job. Thanks! :) Here are a couple of pics, dont mind the wires, I have yet to clean those up a little more!

Congrats. Nice work on the box. However, with just two 10W1s, you could have just got the Zenclosure and been fine. If you were building your own for more airspace, you could have gone with 10w6's.
