CDT braxial 6.5's?
Does anyone know if the CDT braxial 6.5's will fit into the stock coupe door panel locations? I will use an MDF spacer to move the speaker out from the door. I just don't know if there is enough clearance for that little tweeter bracket.
I'm considering the CDT EF-63. Another option would be the 3 ways from CDT or DLS with the woofer mounted in the door and the mids and tweets in the kick panel. I'll try to make a semi sealed, glasses kick panel like 16psi brick makes. Obviously, the braxial mount would be less complicated. BTW, they will be powered by a Kenwood DDX-7017 and a JL 500/5. Thanks. |
Sorry, can't comment about fitment, but I have a set of Braxials in my sedan for rear fill, and I am very impressed with the sound. Oh, and mine are only CL series, so I'm sure the EF's are even better.

I have the ES 6.5 braxials and they fit with a spacer. I did have to trim a tiny bit of the inside of the door trim panel, though - that's where the little arm that holds the tweeter connects to the rim of the woofer.
