woo hoo.
after 8 long months of CD Error plauging my HU i finally bought one (out of warranty)

installed yesterday. took some time but well worth it!
i still cant believe i had to go through all that trouble though...

i need to do the same =(

So you waited until your car was OUT of warranty before you replaced the CD player? :confused: What was the logic behind this? If it was under warranty, why couldn't you take it to the dealership? If you didn't want a stock HU replacement, why didn't you just get an aftermarket HU 8 months ago? It wouldn't void any other part of your vehicle's warranty to replace the factory HU.

it was out of warranty when it happened. of course i would have done it then...
i waited due to being lazy and didnt want to spend the money for a dd. (got the replacement used for 150)
