Bose System able to read Mp3 CD's?
So I burned a CD and I tried it in my 2004 Infiniti G35
It has the premium package, 225 watt Bose Sound System. However, when I played the burnt CD in the CD player, it didn't work, said 'check disc' So I'm assuming it cannot read Mp3's? Anyone know? :7: |
nope.
|
'05+ only can read MP3 CD's. :(
|
DAMN, thats DIRTYY.
anyway I could make it read em? that SUCKS =[[[ or is there another bose system i can upgrade to or something? replace this one with something? cause i dont want to lose EVERYTHING, jus want to play mp3 cd's. |
You'd have to swap in a unit from the newer cars or go with an aftermarket one that already supports MP3 Playback....
or if you're really pinching your pennies, get one of those little devices that you plug into the tape player which can receive data from a mobile audio device and transform it into something that the tape player can read and play and hook it up to an external I-pod or MP3-Player. It's a pretty unclean way to do it, but that's the most economical way to play MP3's in your car if you already own a handheld I-Pod or MP3-Player. |
well i play mp3 cds in my 05 not sure if the models r different
|
If it doesn't read "MP3" on the headunit, it doesn't play.
|
When you burn the CD, you should be able to rip it so that it is a finished audio CD, no?

does anyone know if a coupe (non-bose) 6cd changer mp3 HU will fit into a 2003 sedan?
|
No. The 05 and up radios are physically different than the 03-04s that don't play mp3s.
