Problem with HVAC: Auto Temp control doesn't work

Hi All -

I am posting this because I am hoping there is an easy answer:

Replaced the Bose HU with a Double Din Kenwood 7100. The radio is perfect - the HVAC auto temp isn't working. I have two settings:

60 Degrees: Full COLD
61 Degrees (on up) - Full HOT. It is like it is missing the internal temp thermometer - so it assumes it is freezing and tries to heat the cabin as fast as possible...

The other buttons work: mode - ac - defrost - fan, etc.

My car came with the Dual Climate Control - but the replacement HVAC board didn't have that button on it...

Ideas?

Am I missing something easy - or do I replace the HVAC controls again (just a bad board???)

Thanks in advance guys:

-Daniel

PS> If this is the wrong section - feel free to move it. I have no idea where it should go...

undeneath the steering wheel, there is a panel that sits right above your knees. there is a sensor that you forgot to reconnect before you put it back together.

^ Right. There is a tube and a white connector on the right side of that panel. You probably forgot about them.

Yep... disconnected!

The installer apparently missed it - glad I have this forum to clean up after the professionals. ;-)

Thanks again, seriously, I appreciate it.

What's the cause if the in-cabin sensor is connected properly?

I guess I have to bump this thread. I just had an Ipod connection and new front speakers installed. Noticed on the way home I have cold air at 60, hot at 61 and up. I looked for any unconnected wires and didn't see any. Did I need to remove any panels under the steering wheel or should it be right in front of me?

Thank you in advance. I actually had nightmares about having this work done, kept stressing something would get scratched or broke. Everything checked out fine before I left the shop...of course the one thing I didn't check isn't working.

Disregard my previous post...I found the DIY and fixed it.
