I'm tired of getting lost...
...in San Diego. This place is confusing as fack! :o
Some background info on my car: - 2006 G35 Coupe Base Model - No OEM Navi - Non OEM Bose System - Not Satellite radio ready What I want: - A good navigation system that won't get me lost -___- - Ability to listen to CD's while using the Navi DVD - Ability to watch DVD's while not in Park (from what I've read I can ground it so that it'll always be able to play) - User friendly (Some of the HU's I see people with are confusing as fack!) - 6.5"+ Touch Screen - Retain stock steering wheel controls - iPod compatible What I need (that I know of): JDM Double Din Finisher JDM A/C Controller Budget: JDM DD Finisher & A/C Controls + Install aside, I'd like to spend no more than ~$800 *Am I kidding myself with that low of a budget? :icon43: What do you guys suggest as far as head units go? What accessories will I need to retain the stock steering wheel controls, integrate my iPod, and have Bluetooth? |

With your budget, nothing from Alpine would work.
Pioneer has the Avic-D3 which has a wonderful ipod/bluetooth system, but it is only a 6.1" screen. Price on this is about $799. Kenwood had a DNX-5120 which you may be able to get around your budget price. These retail for about $999. Once again, 6.1" screen, just like the Pioneer. Eclipse units retail for over $1000 so I would rule those out based on your budget. Their ipod/bluetooth systems suck. Just to let you know, you will need a steering wheel interface adapter if you would like to retain your steering wheel controls. PAC makes these pieces. They retail for about $75. |

And the D3 goes for $699.99 on the Best Buy website. I'm sure I can find it for $700 somewhere local if I pay cash. |
