Re: What's RCA Ground Floated mean on the amp?
so i guess you're telling me to check to see if my amp has a proper ground point? cause i tried removing all the rca's and speaker wires going into my amp, and i still get that red flashing light, so i t cant be those...
if it is the ground, how can i measure to see if a particular metal part in my car gives off enough resistance or whatever to ensure a proper ground to that amp? my other jl 500/1 amp seems to have no problem, just this alpine one... but the weird thing is, everything works, i get sound going thru my components from the alpine amp even tho its giving me that error on the amp's LED... i just want to know will it be safe to listen to my music with it like this until i pinpoint the problem? i don't want to mess anything up... the place that installed my 2amps, didnt even use a distrubition block, they just taped up all my power wires into a Y and duct taped it... sigh... maybe cause i didnt purchase an amp kit? sigh.... i had a box with all my amp wires, power wire from my old install and told them to use it too... |
