those with mike's mount
having a radar being completely leveled increases the wide range of motion that the radar can detect, aleast thats what i learn from radar forums where these guys go all out.
I'm debated on if i should get mike's mount or not, mainly because I don't like my other options of mounting it. I have to to the right of my RVM right now. my old car i had it above and leveled but with a g35 there is very little room. I cant mount it left of the RVM because it gets in my sight of view. So its either right or in the area where mike's mount would put it at. So yea for those with mike' mount how much freeplay do you have in terms of adjusting how the radar is pointing, i'm just looking to have it point straight ahead rather then be one of those retards with the radar point right into the sky. this is for a escort 8500 x50. BTW. |
Mine is flat and straight. I bent the crap out of the steel part of the bracket in order too have it as tight to the RVM as possible. It is way better than the suction cup crap!

i have the x50 with mike's mount. it is level, and better than the suction cups. looks a lot cleaner too. just do it and get invisicord or something similar
|
the mount is secured and immobile on the stalk of the rvm, but the two pivot points on the rvm give you all the adjustment you need to have the detector completely level and the mirror accessed to full view.
