gauge cluster doesn't light up

I was trying to hardwire my radar detector by connecting it to the homelink rear view mirror but I effed up. I think I blew a fuse but I can't find a blown fuse anywhere or don't know where to look... everything works, headlights, taillights, radio, dome lights, seat warmers, etc. The only thing I can see or notice is that the gauge cluster doesn't work. Any ideas?

Check the dimmer switch by the VSD and trunk button. Also there are fuses under the dash, I think, but I know there are some under the hood behind the battery. Its probably one of those.

put money on the dimmer switch :) It got me for awhile one night when I hit with my knee when I first bought my car.

Not the dimmer switch. Everything works fine except for the gauge cluster, the mirror doesnt power up, and the display for the climate and the compass looks like its struggling to stay on...

that fuse is located in the car

I should have re-worded my first post. I was looking for the specific fuse that could have blown, but today i got around to checking my fuses. I checked every single fuse in all 3 boxes and it turned out to be the meter fuse in the box located by the pedals.

Before replacing the fuse, I had to go to work and thought the fuse was not that important so I just drove my g, but on the way my engine stalled (5AT) and when I tried starting it up again the car wouldn't start. But now that I replaced the fuse, the SES light came on and it's making a high pitched squealing sound kind of like a supercharger when I rev it... anyone have any ideas?
