What's wrong with my head unit?
 

I have an 04 coupe! This started about 3 days ago when driving down the road. When driving or sitting i lose 1 side of the cars sound! When i switch to a new cd the sound comes back! Sometimes if i hit the center console the sound will come back! This thing is running me nuts! Can Someone please help with this?

is this oem headunit or aftermarket? if its aftermarket what is the model #

come on...we all know its the OEM. search search search. i posted a thread somewhere around here but am on phone and its a bitchworking it out

You need a new radio. I am on my 5th radio. It burns out once a year for me. POS!

****!! Are you getting the fix or just getting a used one? Even if you get the head unit fix they will still burn out?

The first three were under warranty. When the 3rd one failed I bought a radio online because I was out of warranty. I never got around to installing it, so I asked the dealer about it and they called Infiniti customer service and got a 4th radio approved for free. That 4th radio lasted 3 weeks before it died. I opened a file with Nissan Corp Consumer Affairs and the 5th radio is being installed on Wednesday.
