Unexpected Creations in Edison, NJ
his name is Don.
732-572-1969
If he doesn't pick up, leave him a message. He might be working on a car or something.
He recently installed my AVIC-F90BT with the tvandnav2go mod. He also did my alarm/remote start. He carries CLIFFORD..which is the same as Viper. He can get viper if you really want viper. If you are stick shift, he knows of a way to SAFELY do it using all the oem wires. Nissan/Infiniti's have built in neutral switches which makes this possible.

Whoever you choose to do the install tell them up front that you want to see their work before they put the car back together - this little trick will typically get you a bit nicer of an install as 99.9% of customers don't think to inspect the work before taking the car from the shop.
When you take a look at the work, the main things to look for are:
no boxes should be easily visible from under the dash
all wires should be routed in a clean, OEM like manner
all connections should be securely made (I prefer soldering, but some people crimp)
General craftsmanship

I will ask if I can take pictures of their work so I can recommend their shop if needs be.

If you have a hidden key then the BCM gets involved since the key speaks to the BCM through the keyless receiver. Other things come into play such as the normal functions of not allowing you to lock your key in the car. If you don't have the key in the car then the BCM has to be told that everything is made up in the way of thinking a key is in the car.
Much of the rest is simple switch bypassing stuff but still is at the BCM, TCM level.

The key (RF portion) is in the vehicle, but not powered until remote start is activate. Same as being in the vehicle with it. No confusion for the BCM since it is never transmitting with the exception of start.
Like I said, failure would result from an inexperienced installer/poor install.
