Can't 'try' before I buy...
Hey everyone,
I am finishing up putting my system together in my 05 Coupe and am in need of help with Component speakers. I live in an area where certain manufacturers of speakers I do not have access too. I am going to run the Pioneer 4200DVD HU(once I can get my hands on it) with JDM DD kit, Infinity 475a 4ch amp which is good for 75@4ohms and 90@2ohms per channel. I will also have a Kicker KX600.1 and Alpine Type R 12" as my low end filler. The car will also be sound deadened before I am done too. Basically I am looking at roughly spending between $250-300 on component speakers. I am planning on putting them in the stock locations. I am looking at the Focal 165 V1(possibly Polyglass), the DLS R6A(maybe UP6I if there is that big of a difference), and Rainbow SLC265. I also looked a little into MB Quart and Image Dynamics, but I know very little about those companies. I listen to everything, primarily a mix between Rock(Theory of a Deadman, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Rap(Lil Wayne, Jay-z). I personally like Klipsch Home Theater Speakers for their bright sound. Any recommendations? Like I said I can't really listen them and would like to get opinions of people. Which I know it is opinion but it is better then blindly going into it and buying them and not liking them. Thanks!:JAMIN: |
With the selection you have there, SQ seems to be a big priority, so I'm hoping that your'e doing $250-300 for the front components alone, and not that much for all four speakers. The rear would be just fine with spending half that much on coaxials with good components in the front.

Yes, I'm not to worried about the otheres, I'm mainly worried about the front sound stage...

if you like bright tweets find some MB quarts to listen to.
Car toys has carried them in the past. the ID tweets are a bit more laid back never got a chance to hear the others listed |
