CD's jammed in stock CD changer!!!!
I have 6 Cd's in the CD changer for about a few months now, and all of a sudden the Cd's became jammed. When i was driving on the road, i clicked "3" from "6" and than the inside of the CD changer made some unusual noise. Than the screen just says "EJECT" and when i click the eject button-->CD number, nothing happens at all. I cannot remove or feed CD's into the slot anymore.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Any solution? Thanks in advance. |
I've got a full video guide:

Wow, i cant thank you enough.
Thanks a lot!! Time to hit up Home Depot to get screwdrivers and what not. Haha |
Some of those screws can be very tight, so make sure you have a good match on the screwdriver, or you're liable to strip it.

Yeah, the screws were pretty damn squeezed up in the holes.
But everything is up and running now, i just wonder what caused the jamming in the first place.. |
I got a fix.... without needing to take apart shiet..
when you press eject and you hear a noise but nothing is moving out? open your hand and give the face of the unit a hard "hi-five" , your cds should start to move and eject. you should hear like a spring action ping when pimp slappin' the face of the unit. If it fails, try try again... I've done this and I have gotten all my stuck cds to play again. but it keeps happenin.. so eventually, I had to buy the famous JDM DD KIT!!! Best money ever spent ;) |

Do you have "burned cds" in your headunit? If so, that would make em get stuck. Our head units are known to get burned cds stuck between changing cds. Wait til the car cools down, after like three hours or so, turn the key to on and press eject, it should eject by itself without removing your head unit or doing the non-destructive CD disc removal. Hopefully this helps you out, taking out the headunit is tedious and sometimes a PITA.

Rick,
Even in my Lexus, I still have to do the same **** sometimes.... If the cds wont change to another disc, I hear it just clickin in there. I slap the side of the unit and bam, it changes cd and starts to play again. |
