Speakers won't work in cold

Speakers won't work in cold

After car has been left in the cold the speakers will not play immediately. The stereo will turn on and I can adjust the volume, but no sound. And then all of a sudden they will kick on after I've driven for awhile. My friend who works on car speakers suggests to check the fuses and make sure the amplifier is all connected. Where is the amplifier? I looked on top of the spare tire and it's not there. Has this happened to any of you? It will play after about a minute or so but until then there is no sound.

Also every time I search anything it says there are no matches. Ben for stuff like "speakers". Am I the only one with a broken search?

Might be the fuses on the amp. It should be located in the left side of the spare tire well behind the lining. And yes the search isn't working for me either.

So the amp is on the left. Where are the fuses for it? Kind of inexperienced when it comes to fuses. Not sure what exactly to do when I find the fuses.

Update. Was checking fuses and put all back in. When I started the car my clock was frozen but would still light up. When I checked fuse again the dash lights went out for a little and came back on. Help!

I would try replacing the fuse.

Where are the extra fuses? First time in fuse box on G. The one I was working on was by the driver side left foot. Fuse was blue and said 10. Does it matter which way it faces? Like rotating 180 degrees. Sorry I am not very electrical skilled. I can do mechanical but this stuff confuses me lol

Fixed the fuse for the interior lights but I still have the problem where the speakers wont play when cold. Radio turns on but no sound... and then all of a sudden it pops on

Does anyone have a picture of where exactly the amplifier is. I found something thay said Bose to the left of the spare tire beneath the plastic covering, but it was surrounded by metal and I thought amplifiers weren't supposed to be touching metal.

that is the amp, 200w i believe, when its cold my cd player skips horendously so i just listen to the radio till it warms up lol its the bose stereo man we all have at least a minor problem with something.

Yeah but I can't even play the radio when it's cold, so something has to be disconnected or the amp is not starting in the cold

Now it just randomly decides when to play. Sometimes it won't play at all when the car is warm. And sometimes when it's cold it will.

same problem driving me crazy dunno what to do
