AC / RADIO CONTROLS DEAD DIFFRENT PROBLEM FROM THE REST OF THE G35's ON HERE.

so before anyone ask yes i did as much research as possible before posting i have seen a post with the similar problem i am experiencing

i have a 2003 g35 coupe i have been experiencing the infamous ghost ac and dead radio for the past month. i finally got around to trying to figure out what the hell was causing the problem. with the key in the ignition i started to pull out the head unit as soon as i pulled it out the radio turned on the ac buttons worked perfectly fine:icon17:e. so i started to put every thing back together and turn the key to the on position and once again i had no ac or radio controls:icon43:. that lead me to believe that there obviously was a wire that was pinched. i pulled the radio back out again and regain control over of the ac and radio only that this time as i started to slide the radio in i was trying to make sure that wire did not get pinched. after doing so the radio worked fine. several hours later i go to the car to check that everything was working and it did it again i have no ac or radio control.

My question is could it really be wire that is pinched that i just cant spot or is something more severe?

help would really be appreciated

My guess would be stress on the harnesses. When you pull the head unit out, the harness is free from whatever it is putting stress on it so everything works as it should.

I had same problem when i took my factory stereo out! Take everything apart again, unbolt the factory head unit and look directly on the bottom, there is a thin strip conector for the radio display, dont know how to explain what it is but its the only conection on bottom of radio! Its very sensitive and if it got smooshed or pulled it brakes the connection! I slid it back in, used a business card to hold the conection tight and taped it! Fixed the problem! U might have same problem!!
