G35 Navigation Update DVD's?

Has anyone here purchased any of the Nav update DVD's? If so, how many DVD's are required for the install? Is it simply a DVD or is there a firmware update as well?

I still run disk 7.1 in my 2006. I should probably update considering it's pretty outdates. Infiniti wants $99 for a 2014 disk, but I've been searching Ebay for some used disks for cheap.

How many disks come inthe update? 1? or is there 2? How is the install process?

BTW: Some guys want crazy money for used disks. I'm seeing asking prices for 7.1 and 7.2 DVD's for $100-150 on Ebay. Version 7.9 can be had for $99 according to the emails I get from Infiniti all the time.

I just did mine a little over 2 weeks ago. It has a software update that's needed for the maps... Otherwise it looks e same

So just 1 disk?

I might just order the 2014 disk. $99, but everything on Ebay is about the same price for outdated disks

There's a system update disc, which updates the firmware, an there's the updated map data disc, which stays in the system. Be careful, there's plenty of people selling pirated discs as well.

But $99, $9 or free, it's still a pretty bad navigation system. Spend that $99 on a Garmin or just use a smartphone for navigation.
