06 Coupe needs a refresh

I have been gone from this forum for years, life.

I still happily own my 2006 G35 Coupe (still under 100k miles). I have factory navigation, but would like to add in a system that maybe gave me aux in, and let me use a backup camera. These are 2 missing features that kind of make my car feel "out dated" since they are standard on most entry levels cars now.

Is there a pretty awesome aftermarket touchscreen radio with backup camera compatibility that is kind the "go to" for the G35 coupe?:bowdown::bowdown:

Any double-din unit works great, and they all have aux in and support backup cameras, it's more about budget.

I've been quite pleased with the Pioneer AVH-4100 NEX. Not too pricey, comes with all of the audio sources (SiriusXM, BT, iPod, HD Radio, AUX, Pandora, DVD, etc.) plus runs Apple Carplay or Android Auto and has backup camera feature. I bought a $30 license plate backup camera from Amazon and ran the wires through the rear bumper into the trunk, then from the trunk area under the back seat and under the door sills. It's really a nice touchscreen unit and has brought my '04 Coupe into the modern age. It was a very worthwhile upgrade.

With Wrathernaut's excellent guide, the install was straightforward and smooth, and the unit sounds great with my factory Bose amp and speakers.

All told, the cost was under $1K including a used JDM double DIN enclosure from the forums.
