Aux in g35 coupe

Is it possible to splice the cd wire, and connect it with a aux. so when I press the cd button it will just play the aux?

Good idea, people have been doing similar things with the analog signal wires coming from the cassette tape read heads in cars for a while now, but I haven't heard of it being done with the CD units. The trick is finding a good spot that you can splice in after it's been converted from the digital encoded signal to an analog signal. With some radios, there may not be an actual wire or even circuit pathways you can splice into, but I am fairly certain there is with our cars.

If you're handy with a soldering pen, you could fairly easily replace the analog audio signal from the CD reader with your own wires (if it ever goes through wires) and a bit more difficult, but still possible, if it goes through a pathway on the board itself, but you'd be guessing at proper signal levels so as not to overload the audio processor. Check the linked schematic in the first post of this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...epair-diy.html and you might be able to spot a good spot.
