2003 Sedan Bose wire colors with diagrams and pics
After reading most of this sub forum for sedan wire diagrams I had little luck. So I figured Id take some time and hopefully make it as easy on our sedan as it is for the coupe to find answers to the mystery of wire colors. Sorry these pics are from a camera phone but are good enough to understand whats what. Im pretty sure this is right, if anyone sees a mistake please tell me so we get it right.
I would assume this would apply to 03-04 only but I could be wrong.
The diagrams below are right from the FSM. Basically wires come in one side of the harness and leave the harness amplified on the other. The wire coming from the HU have a sleeve around them (in pic) and ones leaving the amp do not. The harness marked B114 with a circle in both diagrams is the harness that goes into the amp. All wires have a # that goes with where it goes in the harness
Ex. Diagram AV-14. Amp turn on goes into amp as #9 match #9 with the harness described above and you get your remote wire which is G/W or green and white as you will see once your in the trunk.
This is what you get for pre amped wires
FL+=W
FL-=B
FR+=G
FR-=R
RR+=L
RR-=P
RL+=BR
RL-=Y
Remote= Green/white
Its all on the diagrams just read them and match the numbers and you will see exactly whats going on. .
Hope this helps the sedan guys.

I'm just realizing the sub amp is separate. If I want to install a separate amp, all I need is the preouts from the head unit, which appear to be B and W wires #s 8 and 21. However, if my amp supports speaker level input, would it be a better idea to use those directly...or is the sub amp contained within the sub enclosure? Sorry, the diagrams are good, but not *that* good without tearing into it myself.

Question:
As a test, I cut open some old Stinger "twisted" RCAs in the middle where it becomes one cable, and saw four tiny wires running through it (white, black, red, yellow). How do I know which color in the RCA is L or R and + or -? I plan to cut open some Rockford RCAs for the actual install.
Thanks.

Thanks for posting this information. I had been finding a lot of info for other G35's but not the 2003 sedan. Anyways, I have 2 subs and an aftermarket amp I want to wire up. I am new to this but really want to pull this off myself. I am having trouble wrapping my little brain around something....
I have twisted pair RCA's so I understand I can cut them and splice them into the correct wires coming out of the harness. I can't seem to figure out this simple diagram to find those correct wires. Can someone tell me which color wires I am looking for?
Here are pictures of the harness that goes into the stock amp.
