OK, I'm a Tard (Sirius Question)

I picked up my 2006 G35C the other day and have been playing with all the various functions of the car. One I can't figure out, is why when I press the tune up and down buttons, it moves entire catagories rather than just single stations. It goes from 1, to 15, to whatever the next one is.

Thanks for helping the mentally challenged among us. I think I'm going to get a guy wearing a helmet on my license plate.

Tune up / down changes categories, and the track up / down changes by single stations. It took me a few minutes to figure out as well. :)

ya, it still confuses me sometimes! Stupid design if you ask me, I think it should be the other way around.

HokieZ Dec 31, 2005 07:04 PM

You have got to be ****ting me. I'm going outside to try this right now.

HokieZ Dec 31, 2005 07:06 PM

Nope, track/seek changes entire catagories for me as well. Is there a setting to have it change either single station or catagory?

You must be having the free trial in which case you are given CERTAIN channels bud...

HokieZ Jan 1, 2006 01:44 PM

Ah, that's what I figured. I thought the car came with 3 free months. Is the 3 months limited or full access? My wifes TL came with 3 months of free XM, completely unlocked.

QuadCam Jan 1, 2006 02:27 PM

full access. if you never sign up, you get a few free channels. I had that you a couple of weeks.

Then, I called up and activate the 3 free months, but at the end of the 3 months I lost all the channels (event he ones I had prior to the 3 month deal.

In the end, I signed up for the 2 year deal.

HokieZ Jan 1, 2006 08:37 PM

Ah, thanks Quad, that seems to be the answer. I'm' actually going to activate the 3 months, then go back to XM as I already have a subscription to it on the TL.

Beowulf Jan 5, 2006 02:07 PM

Quad is correct you are in the limited free trial... At the end of the 3 months they dropped me completely and I had to call them three times to get it going again *roll eyes*

HokieZ Jan 7, 2006 04:37 PM

Well, in case anybody else encounters this, it's a result of the dealer forgetting to call and activate the 3 free months. I finally got off my *** today and called, and now all channels work.
