Mike's Radar Detector Mount - 2006 G35?
 

I can't seem to find a post I remember reading about 3-4 weeks ago. It was about issues using Mike's Radar detector mount on the 2006 G35 Coupe. Are these issues verified? Does anyone with a 2006 G35 Coupe, 6MT, Premium Package have Mike's mount? Any issues? Thanks guys.

As it stands the mount wont work on 06 premium coupes. Dont know if he has rectified the situation.

a guy name mike on 350z forums makes it for 350z.. hence mike's mount.. he makes two different version (Escort Passport and V1)

I'm selling my escort passport (red) x50 w/ mike's mount... for $220 let me know if anyones interested

i mailed mike my 2005 NON-PREMIUM mirror to help those guys out. hes going to design a mount to work for those mirrors. hopefully it will work w what u need-its not a perfectly circle arm between the mirror and glass.

so the mount wont work if you have the premium package?

No, I think that it is the other way around, the mount won't work if you don't have the premium package. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I am about to order one.

I had to dremel the hole in the mount a little larger to fit my '06 mirror... works fine now though!

I do have a premium package. The mirror stalk is too thick for the mount.

Wow, I am confused. I read in another thread that Mike was trying to get a hold of a non-premium stalk to test fit. Has anybody installed a Mike's Mount on an '05 premium stalk? I was under the impression it would fit but now I am worried.

I have mike's mount for a V1 and it fits. no problems here. I have 05 Premium.

Excellent, that is what I was looking to hear. Maybe it is just an '06 problem.
