Don't want to loose my Dual Climate Control DCC HELP!
 

Hello everybody, so from doing a bit research here it looks like if I'm going to replace the factory HU I will loose my dual climate control switch. Is there any way to avoid this? I really will hate to loose it, since i do use it a lot. Is the DCC button integrated into the Bose unit? Any way of taking it out of there, and re-using it? If so can some please tell/show me how to do this. i couldn't find any info on it. Thanks

I believe this is answered in the DD sticky at the top no? I'm not an expect at the whole DD conversion thing, but I would be amazed if all these people were doing it and losing their DCC. Check out that thread, I THINK the answer is in there. I think you have to resolder it to the DD kit.

yes it is, they mention that you have to desolder from the old one and resolder to the new one. Not that hard if you have soldering experience.

Word. I SUCK at soldering and it was easy. :)
