Car doesn't honk or flash lights when lock button is hit?
 

So when I hit the lock button on my keychain the doors lock but there is no honk or flashing lights. There are no flashing lights when I unlock the car either. What gives with that? Could my factory alarm system be disabled? Its on an 04 Coupe. Thanks in advance.

look in the manual, you have messed with one of the settings. You can set it to honk/flash or not.

hold both lock and unlock... for atleast 8 seconds i think
car will either flahs and honk or just flahs (locking and unlocking at the same time)

Thanks guys. I bought the car used so I don't have the manual. So holding both the lock/unlock for 8 seconds should set it to honk & flash?

i dotn know if its 8 seonds i just took a guess... just hold them both until something happens :)

theres two modes.
1. press lock button... car will lock doors, honk, and flash lights
press unlock button... car will unlock doors and flash lights

2. press lock button.. car will lock door and flash lights (no honk)
press unlock button... car will unlock and i dont know imma go have a smoke and test it out lol

another thing is if you hold unlock button for a few seconds windows will roll down automatically... but can only be rolled up if you put the key in the keyhole and lock the doors and hold it in that position for a few seconds

Yeah I knew that from a while ago with my 350Z. KP Tech makes a thing that you hook up to your car that allows you to roll them up by hitting the lock button twice as well.
