Can a G35 coupe run in STX?

Like the title says. From the way I am reading the rules I could compete in FStock with minor modifications and have a PAX multiplier of .809 or in STX with a lot more modifications minus tires and have a PAX multiplier of .808! The only thing that is getting me is the line "can't be sports car based." Is the G sports car based? Which category would the G be better in?

If we take the pax multipliers to be accurate representations of the relative performance between FS and STX then that would seem to imply:

DOT-R tires ~= sticky street tires + springs + rear roll bar + intake + headers + lightweight seats + updates/backdates.

I compete in FS because r-comps seem to be the best bang for the buck mod that there is for autox. Now that I've done a few events on my hoosiers I'm pretty sure I'll never go back to street tires as the amount of grip the r-comps provide is phenomenal. Also, the rules restrictions in stock allow me to focus on learning to drive without having to worry too much about car setup.

And, yes: the G35 is legal for STX as far as I know. At least, I've done a couple of events here in the DFW area as STX without being protested.

I run in STX with my G35 Coupe. Did tons of research to make sure I was in the right class. Everyone at the events seem to agree. haha.

a G is a GT base.

Another thing to consider is that an argument could be made that the G35 would be more competitive in FS against camaro's and mustangs than in STX against bmw's and wrx's.
