So I was just curious, I am looking to open up the taillights and paint the insides black. I have done this on a ton of vw's before and its a process of sticking them in the oven, prying, oven, prying, oven, prying until the glue holding the plastic and the lens is soft enough to separate. Is this the same on the g taillights? I know its not exactly along the same lines as the thread but thought it was close enough... looking to get this effect minus the halos.

Great DIY!

Used it to change my rear side marker lights.

Couldn't believe how easy it was! THanks!

Sorry for the necro bump on this but I would really like to have the pics reupped too. Need to change my side marker light and the pics would be very helpful before I dive in there. Any chance for a re-up?
