need input/help quick on Akebono set up clearing OEM coupe 18" rims!!
As you can read from the title. . .just had my akebono bbk installed today. . .currently at the shop. . .they called. . .i have the 18" coupe OEM sport rims. . .they said the front calipers do not CLEAR the front rims. . .meaning, its not the offset that is the issue, its the inner diameter of the rim that is just barely clipping the edge of the caliper. . .thing is, i printed out that brake template to see if it clears my 18" rims, and it did, but apparently it doesn't?!?! i'm going over to the shop in one hour to see it for myself, see if it is actually an installation issue (likely not, since i've worked with these guys before, and they do a good job). . .my plan B is to install my 19" rims that i have in storage for now and figure this one out. . .sucks cause i just had my 18" rims powdercoated!!!!!! fu**!!!!!!!!
if anyone has any input, that would be great, if not, thanks anyways!!!

just to confirm, you have 18" oem coupe rims? both my 18" coupe rims and 19" Ruff rims did not fit! the coupe rims had inner diameter issues, and teh 19" ruff rims had a offset issue. . .this really relaly sucks, but i'm thinking of just saying screw it and get new rims. . .and sell my 18". . .
Yep, I ended up ordering Ichiba spacers 15 mm. Only really need 7 mm. They should work out fine...hopefully! But now I got a 'useless' set of 18" rims...I screwed up cause the template I used was not 1:1 proportion...it was off by 2mm, which made the difference in the clearance I needed
