Need advice in finding good street pads
Hey fellow G35 drivers:thewave: I have a 04 G35 manual coupe with Brembos and is time to change the pads. Im just wondering with is a good set of pads for a car that hasn't been on the track yet but do spint when a SRT4 or suckstang piss me off lol. I've found a set called Kool Vue Kevlar/ceramics, for under $50, but coworkers say it will cause more rotor wear. If anybody has any advice please help me out. Also i can't afford project MU:( or Hawks right now cause of limited funds.

What's your budget, for all four corners?
Even the oem pads cause rotor wear, don't see that as a cause for concern until you get into the much more expensive high friction track based pads. To me it's a cost of entry for having pretty good brakes from the factory, subjectively speaking. |
Pads that come to mind (front and rear)
Dont care for Hawk or EBC, so not on my list Ferodo DS2500 $185 http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=2032 Endless Vita Nuova $188 http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3135 Carbotech Bobcat $259 free shipping (too expensive I think) http://my350z.com/forum/brakes/38691...y-to-ship.html Project Mu NS $198 http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3135 Project Mu B-force $251.50 (too expensive I think) http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=3891 |
ok i know this is a old post but i figure i updated it and tell the pads i went with:) I found that pepboys have a very good ceramics prostop pads for the front($39) and back$43):) so far there braking in good and stops great. So if anybody is looking fot a OEM replacment for stock Brembros go too pepboys, or O' raileys (they got ceramics too)
