OEM A-Arms + Slammed on Coils... toe??
 

I have SPC A-Arms, but they bang against the fenders under light dips and bumps (and hit hard under hard dips and bumps). I'm slammed on SMA coils and can't deal with the banging any longer (only been 3 days)...

Question is: Can I put my OEM a-arms back on and get my toe back into spec being so low? I can deal with the camber, but I need to be able to get my toe back into spec so I don't eat through tires like crazy. I know with some very negative camber that I will eat through tires quicker than if I were in OEM specs, but not nearly as bad if both toe and camber were out of spec.

I will be getting 350evo a-arms, but it's not looking like it will happen immediately as they're slim pickin's... I'd like to get a positive answer to my question above so I don't have to figure out it's not possible after changing back to oem a-arms and going for an alignment.

i heard for slammed people that SPL front camber kit works better than SPC, somebody chime in.

everything i have read says SPL is the way to go... do you have pics of how low you are? I have some spc's and I'm seeing if it's even worth putting them on or if I'm just going to clunk

I'm pretty damn low... Here's a picture. Don't mind the excessive need for spacers.. They're coming with my smaller tires next week. Oh and this was as soon as I put them on and backed out of the garage so they've settled 1/3-1/2" since then..

AND BTW... Folks slammed running SPL a-arms have come across the same fender banging issue. Not all, but some. Just like us SPC folks. Question is can I use oem a-arms to eliminate the banging AND get my toe into spec.

I'm debating different wheels as well, but I'll have a hard time letting go of the PIAA's... I just want something more aggressive than I'll be able to do with spacers, but they're coming so I can get a somewhat proper stance while I decide...

If anyone knows about getting toe back into spec on oem arms then please chime in..

i dont see why the arms bang against the fenders? are you sure the arms are on the correct sides? i know that if you put the "L" on the right side and vise-versa that they will hit. but i am a bit lower than you currently and i dont have any problems with banging or knocking

It's very clear when I'm driving that its the arms hitting. They're on the right sides too... I made sure to measure up the short side of the spc a-arm going in with the short side of the OEM arm coming out.... My install is dead on. The banging is extremely common on the SPC arms with a drop lower then 2", which I am. U must be lucky somehow with no banging, but the slammed folks with no banging of the spc a-arms just doesn't make any sense to me...

your toe will not depend on your A ARMS only your camber (stock)
toe is a different bolt if i remember upfront

SPL Ver 1 arms hit the fender walls because the middle tube is a bit long (IF THE CAR IS SLAMMED)

SPL ver.2 doesnt hit just make sure you grind off the 2 bumps like the instructions provided with the arms once bought

i had VER1 and rocking VER 2 right now great arms! well made and customer service from SPL is top notch!

For those owners with VER 1 arms you can send in your arms and SPL will modify it for FREE!!!!! i have my version 1 over at SPL getting modified as we speak. getting it hopefully next week or so since the bearings are worn and needed to be replaced

350EVOs are nice but id rather go with SPL. IMO
