Ichiba front camber arms FTMFL
 

Car is lowered on 350Z S-techs. Got the ichiba rear camber kit when I first lowered it because it really was essential to get it back in spec.

Ran that way for about 2 years but on this last set of tires I was really shredding the fronts on the inside.

Figured now would be a good time to get the front ichiba arms as well. Easy install, less than an hour each side. I set them as far out as they go because The inside of my tires had steel bands showing through.

Got new tires put on yesterday. Took it to Motorsports Techniques in Hayward on the recommendation of people on here who said they were very good with lowered cars and camber kits.

an hour and $100 later they bring me the before and after spec sheet and not only am I not in spec on front camber I am worse than I was with the stock arms. I said wtf? The guy tells me where I had it set was as far as they go and the camber kits are designed to give more negative camber not less. Why would somebody want more negative camber on a lowered car?

Now after $300 for the arms and $100 for the alingment I am running -2.1 on the left front camber and -1.9 on the right. With the stock arms I was -1.6 L and -1.9 R

Total waste of time and money. :mad:

The guys you went to are RETARDED, I had ichiba front camber arms and they adjusted my cars camber back to spec without any issues you should find a more reputable shop.

according to several members on here they are a good shop.

I only know what I know: I set the adustment as far out on the arm as it would go. I checked it again when I got home. The allen screws were in the closest holes to the end of the arm exactly where I had them when I put the arms on. The didn't even touch the adjustment because I already had it maxed out.

Hmmm weird man my friend who works on cars on the side put these in and adjusted them for me, these are supposedly Cusco knock offs and they definitely should be able to be adjusted properly try going to another shop and have them look at it. Theres no reason why they would've worked for me and not for you right? I had ichiba front and rear camber arms.

I thought they were spc knockoffs. I know the rear arms are identical to the spc arms other than the color.

It's a total head scratcher. I would love to point the finger at the shop and say they didn't adjust them (which they didn't) but I know the ball joints are out as far as they can go on the arms and I am still -2 camber.:dunno:

did you happen to install the shim kit with the arms? mabye it was installed upside down which would pull more neg camber rather than pos camber

there is no shim kit with the ichiba arms

I wonder if u can run the spc shim kit with the ichiba arms.. If so i got some i will sell you..

Whats the final toe adjustment?

yeah u can. they bolt to the hub. has nothing to do with the arms

haha you dont need them all anyway. i still have my spc shim kit too. i should list it

toe is fine. .06 front, .08 rear

Try some SPL arms instead
