Ichiba rear camber arms almost killed me

F'ed up & with the Ichiba rear Camber arms , Big mistake! It snapped in the canyons @ 65mph on a fast left hand sweeper,there were a few rice rockets a few cars behind me, the absolute the worst time for any suspension component to fail ! If not for my incredible anti terrorism driving skills......:driving:
I wudda been done for!

The one side just snapped , the other side was on it's way to snapping, I probably could have spotted it .
The anti sways were set to Hard/Hard, the unbroken sway was actually starting to bend .;

If things like this happen, is the manufacturer liable for the outcome ?

Important thing is you are a-ok !!

I haven't been ok since I got the G.
Manufacturer would probably try to blame the consumer. Probably siting improper use or something similar.

holy crap !! not buying those ! what brand are you going with next ?

bluedevils95 11-13-2011 10:38 AM

OMG!!!!!! That right there sucks sooooo much!!! I have these and now it's got me thinking what if i do this type of canyon run again? Is it going to snap on me. I had it the 1st time i did it but so far nothing happen but since yours snapped, now i have to be more cautious. The important thing is that your ok and didn't get hurt from this. Things could have ended worst and glad that it didn't. What is your next brand?

Bill very sorry to see that this happened. I'm so glad you weren't hurt. I've heard nothing but bad things about Ichiba suspension arms (front and rear) lately from several owners on here.

I have SPC rear camber arms too, been running them for 3+ years, no problems here.

I have replaced a couple sets. The ichiba are junk. Never seen a set completely fail like that, but have seen 2 sets press the bushings out of the race.
